Timber Square

Timber Square, London SE1

Timber Square is a major development on Lavington Street in trendy Southwark. The scheme consists of two large office buildings with a sizeable public realm nestled between them.

The location is the iconic Bankside, meaning the connections for walking, cycling, tube and rail are great – customers can be at either London Bridge or Waterloo in ten minutes, and the City is just a short walk across the river.

One of the UK’s largest timber structures

Timber Square is a net zero carbon scheme, and despite its huge scale it’s one of the UK’s largest timber structures. We’re achieving this by keeping 85% of the existing buildings, which brings the added benefit of retaining its unique character.

The sustainable credentials of Timber Square caught the eye of The World Green Building Council, who featured it alongside our architects, Bennetts Associates, as part of a BBC Storyworks produced series that focused on building for a better future.
