Landsec’s Nova development, delivered by a 50:50 joint venture with CPPIB, and 80-100 Victoria Street have achieved the Wired Certified Platinum rating for digital connectivity. The Platinum rating is the highest award from internationally recognised WiredScore, which has been providing independent certification of UK buildings’ technological infrastructure since October 2015.
Both developments are part of Landsec’s £2.2bn reinvention of Victoria, making it an unparalleled destination in which to work, live and play. The rating recognises both buildings for world-class digital connectivity, giving its occupiers, which include Brambles, Child & Child and Advent International, reassurance that they are benefiting from the best connectivity the capital has to offer.
This rating follows Landsec’s 62 Buckingham Gate development receiving Wired Certified Platinum rating in February this year and emphasises Landsec’s vision to make Victoria the West End’s most resilient sub-market, and the best in futureproof workplace experience.
Design features which contributed to the Wired Certified Platinum rating include:
Neil Pennell, Head of Engineering and Design at Landsec, said: “We know how important great connectivity is to our customers, which is why we invest in building resilience into our developments as a priority. At Nova and throughout our Victoria portfolio, we’ve gone the extra mile in infrastructure provision, design and engineering innovation to offer our customers not just peace of mind, but competitive edge and the most dynamic workplace experience.”
William Newton, President & EMEA MD at WiredScore, said: “Landsec is setting a new standard for connectivity in West End offices. The expertise and experience in the team is vast; we’ve consistently watched them go above and beyond to overcome connectivity challenges for the benefit of their customers. Indeed, they demonstrate both commitment and knowledge in this area.”

At Landsec, we believe great places are for people to experience and are made with the experience of great people. As the UK’s largest listed commercial property company, with 23.7 million sq ft of real estate and a portfolio valued at £14.2 billion, we own and manage some of the most successful and recognisable assets in the country.
In London, our portfolio totals more than £7.8 billion, and consists of 6.5 million sq ft of real estate. From the world-famous Piccadilly Lights to the transformation of Victoria, SW1, we deliver exceptional experiences for the businesses and people that live and work in, and visit, the capital.
In Retail, across our 17.2 million sq ft of assets, we create outstanding experiences for customers and guests alike. Combined with the strength and resilience of our portfolio, this means we regularly outperform industry benchmarks for footfall and sales. We offer more than convenience and choice, recognising that memorable destinations are key to attracting the shoppers and retailers of today, and tomorrow.
We also aim to lead our industry in critical long-term issues – from diversity and community employment, to carbon and climate resilience. Everything we do is grounded in experience and begins with people. We deliver value for our shareholders, great experiences for our customers and positive change for our communities. At Landsec, everything is experience.
WiredScore is the international scheme that rates and provides transparency on the infrastructure, connectivity and technological capacity of office buildings. WiredScore was founded in New York in 2013 by leaders in real estate, technology and telecommunications, with an endorsement from Mayor Bloomberg, to improve the city’s technology infrastructure, and support its entrepreneurs who are driving technological advances and creating jobs.
Following success in the US with the adoption of the Wired Certification, WiredScore won the Greater London Authority’s tender to be the official Mayor of London Digital Connectivity Rating Scheme in October 2015. WiredScore now certifies properties across the entire UK. In 2017, WiredScore launched in France, Ireland , Germany and Canada. To date, more than 350 million sq. ft. of office space have been certified across North America and Europe.
