28 July 2022

Landsec announces that Cressida Hogg intends to retire as Chairman and a Director of Landsec in 2023. Having been appointed as a Non-executive Director in January 2014 (and subsequently as Chairman in July 2018), Cressida will be approaching nine years on the Board in January 2023. The Nomination Committee, led by the Senior Independent Director, Edward Bonham Carter, has commenced the process to identify and appoint Cressida’s successor, and is being supported by external consultants. Cressida is expected to step down no later than Landsec’s next AGM in July 2023, and a further announcement will be made in due course.

Landsec further announces, pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14, that it has been notified that Cressida has been appointed as a Non-executive Director and Chair Designate of BAE Systems plc (“BAE”) with effect from 1 November 2022, and will be appointed as Chair subject to election at the BAE AGM in May 2023.

Cressida Hogg commented “I have much enjoyed my tenure at Landsec, especially the last five years as Chair. I know I will be leaving the company in a robust position with a strong leadership team and Board. I look forward to working with my appointed successor to ensure a smooth transition.”

Mark Allan, Chief Executive Officer of Landsec said “On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Cressida for her invaluable contribution and leadership during her time with Landsec. The business has benefited considerably from her broad business experience and, from a personal perspective, I have been grateful for her support and guidance since being appointed CEO a little over two years ago.”
