Reverse mentoring for an inclusive future
Earlier this year, nine executive leadership team members (ELT) were each paired with a more junior colleague for a six-month reverse mentoring opportunity.
We believe that climate change demands urgent and universal action but that tackling the climate crisis cannot be achieved alone, that’s why we have become a signatory of The Climate Pledge. At Landsec, sustainability is at the heart of everything we believe in and is central to our purpose. We pride ourselves on being the first commercial real estate company to have set a science-based target and are well on track to meeting this, having already reduced our emissions by 55% from our 2013/14 baseline. Our science-based target forms the foundation of our commitment to be net zero by 2030. A significant proportion of our emissions come from our construction activities and that’s why we continue to invest in innovative technologies that create sustainable places. Starting with The Forge, the UK’s first net zero building, all our future developments will be net zero.
What is The Climate Pledge? The Climate Pledge is a commitment to net zero carbon by 2040 that forms a cross-sector community of companies and organisations, working together to tackle the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonising our economy. The Climate Pledge was co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019.
