3 April 2018

Landsec, the UK’s largest listed commercial property company, today announces the completion of the sale of Eastern Quarry, Ebbsfleet to residential infrastructure and placemaking firm Henley Camland for £66.8 million.

The 269-hectare site, which includes the residential development of Castle Hill - the first of three villages to be delivered as part of Ebbsfleet Garden City - will be developed by Henley Camland in line with the resolution to grant planning permission issued on 20 December 2017.

Ebbsfleet Garden City is overseen by the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, which was set up in 2015.

Christine Clarke, Head of Portfolio Management, Landsec, commented: “Our work at Eastern Quarry has laid the foundations for Ebbsfleet Garden City, an ambitious project which we are pleased to have made a significant contribution to. We are particularly proud of delivering key community infrastructure, such as the brand new state-of-the-art primary school in Castle Hill, which opened in September 2017.”
